ABSTRACT:
As a result of armed conflict and disruption of security in Aceh and the political upheaval of the homeland in 1998 caused the cessation of the operation of the PT. Humpuss Aromatic Refinery, the dismissal of this operation did not only affect PT. Humpuss Aromatic solely, but also happened to the fertilizer industry , PT.Pupuk Iskandar Muda II and PT.Kertas Kraft Aceh, the situation is getting worse with the decline in the production of gas and condensate PT.Exxon Mobil Oil Indonesia in the framework of the termination of PT.Exxon Mobil Oil Indonesia contract with the Government of Indonesia so that the industry relies on Gas feedstock and Condensate must be stopped. Of course it cannot be denied that the golden peak of the progress and revival of Aceh, especially Lhokseumawe and its surroundings, occurred when the entire industry above operated with full capacity.
Now the political and security situation has returned to normal and conducive Gas supply for industrial needs in the Arun SEZ has been overcome by the Regasification and Condensate Project as PT. Humpuss Aromatic feedstock has also been possible to be imported so that the Refinery can be operated again.
